At this program, you’ll learn through pictures and stories about the life and legacy of Carl Fritz Henning, the first Custodian of Ledges State Park. Henning served for nearly 20 years from 1921 to 1941 and was instrumental in helping the land that is now Ledges become one of Iowa’s first state parks.

In 2024 Ledges State Park will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its dedication and this program is one of the many in the “History Hike” series, sponsored by Friends of the Ledges.
